Pat O'Donnell on Ray Guy Award Watch List

Written by Scott on .

Cincinnati Bearcats punter Pat O'Donnell has been named as one of the 25 players on the Ray Guy award watch list. O'Donnell was one of the semifinalists a season ago. He's joined on the list by 8 other semifinalists from last season, including 2011 winner Ryan Allen from Louisiana Tech.

O'Donnell averaged 43.8 yards a punt last season. He boomed 17 of his 63 punts over 50 yards. He crushed a 76 yard punt as a season high. 9 of his kicks were fair catches. Cincinnati opponents averaged less than 7 yards a punt return due to O'Donnell and the kick coverage. Only 21 kicks were returned.

The only downside to this news is that the only picture that is saved on my computer of O'Donnell is this:

puntblocked
The one punt he had blocked. It didn't go down as a punt for him, but as a team punt. Since he's nominated for an award, pretend Bushell misses it.
